Photos: Anti-Trump Rally in Greenville, South Carolina
Dressed as Lady Liberty, black tape sealing her lips, Miranda Anderson stood next to Brent Hutcheson on Monday night in Falls Park in Greenville, SC to rally against President Donald Trump and his appearance at a nearby fundraising event. Anderson, a local resident who works in occupational therapy cites the president’s “disregard for humanity in general,” as the biggest motivating factor for her demonstration.
“If people don't keep standing up for what's right — I feel like people are getting really fatigued by it and I'm concerned where that is leading us,” says Anderson.
October is Fundraising month
I'm not against Republicans,” says Hutcheson, a nursing student from Clemson who dressed in a clown suit with a flashing nose, “I'm just against Donald Trump. I think that there are rational people out there but I don't understand how he has taken over and not in my wildest dreams did I think I would have to be here protesting him as president. So it's just kind of a crazy situation that we find ourselves in right now.”
