HELLO

My name is Sean and The Angry Whale is a blog I started in 2012. I'm a Columbia, SC photojournalist and commercial photographer documenting life in the Soda City by way of exceptional photography and a personal connection to the space and humans who call it home - and those who pass through. I began working locally at The Gamecock Newspaper in 1997 and have been a regular contributor to The Free Times, The Columbia City Paper, The Charleston City Paper and I continue to do so at The State Newspaper. I've recently shot for The Washington Post, Discover Magazine, ESPN Images and my photos have appeared on the pages of Southern Living, Garden & Gun and People magazines. I've collected seven awards from the South Carolina Press Association and regularly work with the Columbia Visitors Bureau. Your financial support allows me to work independently with the ability to document and share the lives of my neighbors.

THANK YOU

All advertising is the same size square, while the different "tiers" in the options above determine how close to the top an ad appears. From November 2014 - February 2015, the blog averaged 3,775 visits per month. For a sampling of blog posts, you can follow this link: A Brief History of The Angry Whale
