The Angry Whale was a web zine from Columbia, SC photojournalist Sean Rayford and established in February of 2012. Recipient of the 2016 Best Photo Story award from the South Carolina Press Association and named by Time Magazine as one of 50 must follow Instagram users for 2016, Rayford uses the platform to focus on visual storytelling in the South. A former bartender at a live music venue for over a decade, Rayford now freelances for Getty Images, The New York Times. The Associated Press and the Wall Street Journal.
