I almost went to the University of Florida, but instead I ended up a Gamecock here in Columbia, SC. My freshman year at the University of South Carolina, I received one of my first paying photography gigs - shooting USC vs. UF for Gator Bait, a Florida athletics publication. Gator runningback Fred Taylor (who would be the ninth overall pick in the NFL draft the following year) ran all over us that day and constantly filled my frame. His son Kelvin played for Florida on Saturday against the Gamecocks.

I thoroughly enjoyed my two trips while in college to see football in the Swamp during Spurrier's tenure and it showed me how you do college football in the SEC. I like the Florida Gators but I like beating them even more. Obviously, the tables have turned. Enjoy it fans, the South Carolina Gamecocks are winning football games.
