Photos: Central American Caravan Thanksgiving in Tijuana
For the Central American refugees and migrants who have traveled a near three thousand mile journey to Tijuana, Mexico, Thursday’s dinner held no special significance, outside of providing tired and hungry humans some much needed sustenance. No turkey. No dressing. No gelatinous cranberry goop from a can. No yearly family traditions watching the Detroit Lions lose. No stuffing. No yams. No lumps in the gravy and no pumpkin pie. No food comas.
For most of the folks, it was a bowl of broth and noodles. And yet I’ve never seen such wide smiles on folks at dinner.
