Photos: "Get Out of the Road" - Chapin Labor Day Parade
After the first few hundred yards of the annual Chapin Labor Day Parade, Rep. Joe Wilson found himself holding on to a .50 cal machine gun mounted on a vintage military jeep with an engine that refused to cooperate.
Insert metaphor here.
Members of his campaign team pushed the vehicle up the hill on Chapin Rd. as the congressman waved to the spectators until a reinforcement Jeep arrived with a tow. Along with other parade traffic, Wilson's adopted son, SC Attorney General, Alan Wilson, passed the disabled vehicle, making sure they didn't need any help.
