When I first arrived at the Eighth Annual Greater Columbia Record Fair yesterday at the art museum, I climbed the stairs for a balcony perch. Below, at one end four dudes in a row sported band shirts: Black Flag, Sepultura, The Ramones and The Adicts. Before long, a tubby middle-aged man in tie-dye broke up their club. Down from them, a grey haired couple sifted through the vinyl, cardboard and plastic packages. A father stood behind the crowd as his child ran circles around him. I'm assuming he stopped when he got dizzy. And even though there weren't four thousand food trucks out there, you could still get Belgian waffles and tube steaks.
