Photos: All-American Halloween in the Soda City
I went to Autozone last night around 8:30 p.m. and picked up a camouflage hat with a black and white American flag patch. I added that to a few items I already possessed: A "Make America Great Again" t-shirt that I acquired at no cost when I covered Donald Trump's stump at the Koger Center, my Fox News staff credentials from the debate in Charleston and an American flag cape. A mat board was a better substitute for poster board and I took a sharpie to it. I went with "Bomb the Shit out of ISIS" and "Lock Her Up." I should have written "Build the Wall" instead of the prison talk. Out on the streets in Five Points it got real confusing for folks. Trump supporters thought I was a fan and plenty of his haters did some hating. There was a spattering of "Fuck Hillarys" and "Fuck Trumps" mistakenly lobbed in the wrong direction. There was about the same number of folks who got a real kick out of it. Thanks to Daniel Adedokun, who took me to a bunch of bars in Five Points last night that I never would have walked into alone. And for getting us past all those lines. Photos were made at the Sid and Nancy Hollaween Party at The Music Farm on Friday night, in Five Points on Saturday night, Tapp's on Main on Monday night, and back again in Five Points for the majority of Halloween night.
