The last time I saw Third Eye Blind my friend Fred punched my not friend Larry at a stadium show in D.C. It rained during their set and it was the only time I've ever had a complete stranger on my shoulders or used a giant beachball to hide taking a leak. Among a slew of others, Green Day, The Crystal Method and The Foo Fighters played that day. It was summer of 1998, when I listened to mixed cassette tapes of songs I downloaded on Napster - mostly by New Order and Depeche Mode.
