Unbound Dance Company Kills it - Happy HalloweenHave you ever cried in Delaney's Pub in Five Points? Last Halloween I joined that club with a horde of drunk college girls from a Wednesday Pint Night. I accidentally stumbled across the Unbound Dance Company's bar crawl and it was one of the most pleasurable experiences of my life. It moved me to tears. Part of it was the surprise factor so I'm gonna be brief and instead give you some good words from other people about this magical holiday. Happy Halloween.
“I think if human beings had genuine courage, they'd wear their costumes every day of the year, not just on Halloween. Wouldn't life be more interesting that way? And now that I think about it, why the heck don't they? Who made the rule that everybody has to dress like sheep 364 days of the year? Think of all the people you'd meet if they were in costume every day. People would be so much easier to talk to - like talking to dogs. ”
"You look at Cheney, Rumsfeld, Karl Rove, and Bush - if you saw them on Halloween, they wouldn't need a costume. You'd give them a treat and compliment them on what great-looking demons they were. They are demons. There's no doubt about it." -Tommy Chong

“Harvey wasn't interested in the clothes, it was the masks that mesmerized him. They were like snowflakes: no two alike. Some were made of wood and of plastic; some of straw and cloth and papier-mâché. Some were as bright as parrots, others as pale as parchment. Some were so grotesque he was certain they'd been carved by crazy people; others so perfect they looked like the death masks of angels. There were masks of clowns and foxes, masks like skulls decorated with real teeth, and one with carved flames instead of hair.”
"Charlie Brown is the one person I identify with. C.B. is such a loser. He wasn't even the star of his own Halloween special."
“I wish everyday could be Halloween. We could all wear masks all the time. Then we could walk around and get to know each other before we got to see what we looked like under the masks.”
I highly recommend that you check out the dance company this Halloween. They'll be crawling through the Vista on October 31 and November 1. Here's the schedule
