About a hundred people gathered at the foot of a thirty foot christmas tree and a confederate flag on Tuesday evening at the South Carolina statehouse the day following and in response to the Michael Brown grand jury decision. Vehicles often honked as they passed by on Gervais Street and at least one dude jeered the crowd from a pickup truck. Conversation was predominately centered around personal stories about encounters with law enforcement and included topics like teaching your children how to avoid being shot by the police, how to help mourning mothers, court procedures, and cameras on police.
