Throwback Thursdays - Warped Tour Turns Twenty
July 18, 2007 - Anthony Green of Circa Survive - Charlotte, NC I bought my first and only ticket to a Warped Tour on the DC subway in 1997 for $5. I had to work at Weis Grocery that morning and missed the carpool to the Metro with friends and by the time I found them at RFK stadium, they were already ready to go. I spent the entire day at the festival (at the time, only in it's third year) wandering around by myself watching a bunch of punk and ska bands I had never heard of. I don't remember much, except that the Suicide Machines changed what I thought about music that day.
July 18, 2007 - "Bloodied" - Charlotte, NC
The following year I wrangled a photo pass to shoot my first Warped Tour in Jacksonville, FL. My best memory from that day was watching Tim and Lars from Rancid playing wiffle ball home run derby backstage while The Cherry Poppin' Daddies played. Summertime for me used to almost always include photographing Warped Tour and I developed a love/hate relationship with the event. Now in it's 20th year, Warped Tour is almost old enough to legally drink and today it rolls through Atlanta, followed by three days in Florida before trekking to Charlotte on Monday, July 28. Come back and visit The Angry Whale next year and I'll share those photos of the wiffle ball contest.

Fantastic post! Your writing style is engaging and thoughtful, and it’s clear that you have a strong grasp of the subject. What I value most is how you addressed things step by step rather than rushing through the points. It really helps readers understand the “why” behind everything. The practical recommendations you included are also very helpful. This is the kind of content that keeps readers coming back. Thank you for putting the effort into creating something so informative and meaningful.
