A few weeks back I got a phone call from Curt Heiny, an EDM producer from Columbia, who makes and performs under the moniker, Archnemesis. In need of some promo photos for the announcement of new tour dates for August and September we met up in West Columbia and explored some decaying industry.

At home between legs of tour, Archnemesis will headline tonight's show at New Brookland so I figured Curt, a self described "dog lover, vodka drinker and rager," who relocated to Columbia from Asheville three years ago, would make good for Soda Citizen #2.

If you opened up a water park, what would you name it?

Curt's Amazing Afro Adventure.

What is the worst job that you've ever worked?

Re-shelving books for a University of Kentucky at a used book warehouse.

Do you have any pets?

Maeze.

And how would you describe Maeze?

A black monster and a numbskull.

What city are you looking forward to the most on the upcoming tour?

Probably Austin – and Atlanta is going to be fun too.

Bob Ross, Jerry Garcia and Layne Staley.

If you had to join a branch of the military which one would you choose?

The Navy. They've got the Seals.

Have you seen any bad movies recently?

The Amazing Spiderman, the newest one they just did. The acting was horrible.

Do you use Craigslist and if so, where do you look?

Furniture. Sometimes I look at pets. In general, it's a good browsing tool to keep me entertained. An online garage sale with everything.

What is your preferred mode of transportation?

Jet ski.
