Rude Awakening - Aggies Clobber Gamecocks 52-28

Before being steamrolled by Texas A&M on Thursday night to kick off the college football season, South Carolina was riding the nation's current home winning streak at 18 games. Fans embraced the start of tailgate season, but as a rude awakening, the Aggies clobbered the ninth ranked Gamecocks, 52-28 and amassing an embarrassing 680 total yards against the defense. I heard a few fans mutter a phrase I hadn't heard in a few years in Columbia: "I guess we'll just drink this one off." Considering the beatdown, there may be a lot of extremely hungover fans in the Soda City this morning.
