Friday Night Lights: South Carolina HS Football Enters Week Five

Last Friday I found a seat on the River Bluff team bus on a trip to Fort Mill High for a match-up against a team that racked up 70 points the previous week against their opponents from Greenville. There was a near two hour lightning delay and the players spent a lot of the evening sheltered in the visitors locker room. Following the delay, Fort Mill immediately went up 7-0. It didn't look good for River Bluff, but that was fine because their defense wasn't going to give up any more points. The Gators won 14-7 and handed Fort Mill their first loss of the season. This is my first Friday night off from shooting high school football this fall, so I've gone through some photos from the first four weeks. River Bluff plays at Crescent High School. Chomp! Get 'em Gators!
