"When they come around that red marker, that's when they let loose with the profanities," explains my captain as the sailboats approach a turn at the J24 Easter Regatta on Lake Murray on Sunday morning. The competition, in it's 49th year features both amateur and professional skippers and is one of the most popular on the East Coast.

"Oh... and if that boat sinks we'll be participating in the rescue."

"Well, it's not far down to paradise, at least it's not for me.

And if the wind is right you can sail away and find tranquility.
