Donald Trump pig effigy confiscated on final night of RNC

Just before sundown during the final day the 2016 Republican National Convention a young boy wandered up and down a section of Euclid Street dishing out fives high and low to a group of police officers from Austin, Texas. There was a sense of relief regarding the mostly peaceful week when all the ingredients seemed apparent for otherwise. Well, except for a large number of protestors. During the first three days, three out of five officially permitted protests never materialized. During that final night one of the bigger storylines concerning protestors and police was the confiscation of a paper-mache pig effigy of Donald Trump.

For a host of reasons, the people simply didn't show up.

And in a scenario where 3,500 members of law enforcement patrolled downtown Cleveland with the aid of a temporary metal wall system, authorities held the area on lock down. In all, there were 24 arrests, most coming from flag burning incidents on Wednesday afternoon.
